COMPANY

History

Signature Media, the specialty publishing division of Detroit Media Partnership, the business agent for the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News, was launched in 2002 to create dynamic consumer magazines specifically for the metro Detroit market.

Our initial staff of three has grown to more than 20 account executives, writers, designers and more. In our first year, we launched a monthly homes and decorating magazine; Michigan's first guide to colleges; several annual community products, including how-to, city and dining guides; and an award-winning chamber of commerce directory.

Our titles include Signature, metro Detroit's largest lifestyle magazine celebrating life in the affluent communities of Birmingham/Bloomfield and the Grosse Pointes; Strut, a distinctive monthly magazine for women; Vital, Michigan's No. 1 health and fitness publication with a comprehensive companion Web site; and the Michigan College Guide, the state's only directory of four-year Michigan colleges and universities, designed specifically for high school students and their counselors, distributed free, twice per year to every high school in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

We're also custom publishers, creating distinctive products for other companies such as MichigAnimals, the official magazine for the Michigan Humane Society, and the Ann Arbor Art Fairs Program Guide, the exclusive guide to enjoying Ann Arbor's annual summer art fairs.

We look forward to the future and to the new products we'll bring to light for our readers and advertisers looking to reach them.
